Közgép wins further tenders

Közgép Co, which produces and installs steel structures, and whose activities include highway construction, civil engineering, and structural architecture has won new tenders from the Hungarian state. The investments consists of the recultivation of waste dump sites and road reconstructions. The recultivation is totally financed by the EU and the Hungarian state, with HUF 7.2bn to be paid to Közgép for the project.The company has recently won several other government jobs worth more than HUF 280bn. The company’s owner Lajos Simicska has been suspected of taking on oligarch characteristics as a result of his persistent success in state tenders.
