According the Dariusz Blocher, the chairman of Budimex, legal regulations need to be changed in Poland, if there’s to be any improvement in Poland’s construction sector. The chairman claims that the market has been ravaged companies offering their services at prices that fail to meet their costs. He says that at the root of the sector’s problems today is extreme competition, and a public sector that encouraged the submission of bids based only on price, whose purpose was to gain market share. βToday, nearly 50 percent of the companies must fail, those which gives those unrealistic prices,β says Blocher, adding that only then an improvement can occur.
