Supply levels on Poland’s primary housing market fell in May 2012, with just 10,073 new flats delivered over that period. That’s just a 15.1 percent increase year-on-year and a 0.8 percent drop compared to March 2012. According to the Polish Statistics Office (GUS), the number of units completed since the beginning of 2012 was 56,000, which represents an increase of 23.6 percent from the number posted in the same period of 2011. There were 15,512 construction permits issued for flats in the month of May, a 6.3 percent drop y-o-y.
