The fast food restaurants chain McDonald’s celebrated its 17th on the Romanian market. Its first restaurant was opened on June 16, 1995 on the ground floor of Unirea commercial center of Bucharest.
McDonald’s was the first American company to open a chain of restaurants in the country.
Currently, McDonald’s runs 64 restaurants in Romania in 21 cities, of which 28 restaurants are located in Bucharest. After 17 years on the market, McDonald’s has over 3,500 employees and has made approximately $110m in investments.
