P3 launches its green policy in Poland

18 June 2012

Point Park Properties is introducing its BREAM policy for its Polish assets, with the first two facilities having been awarded a “Very Good” rating today in Warsaw. It’s the first BREAM-event for the warehouse industry so far on the Polish market, but also a prelude to P3’s broader strategy, which will spread to all of its future European assets.

“We have carried out some individual improvements to some of our existing projects that have shown that green solutions can bring our tenants savings of up to €0.5/sqm/month,” says Damian Grzywacz, Development and Construction Director at P3.

The two buildings by P3, both in the design stage, that obtained their BREAM certificates today, are a DC5 and DC6 in the Point Park Poznań logistic complex. The certification process was carried out by the Polish branch of WSP Environment & Energy.

“The BREAM certificates for warehouses are mostly implemented at the tenant’s request,” said Magdalena Stretton, Country Manager at WSP Enviro and a BREAM assessor. She handed the award to Craig MacGuire, P3’s managing director in Poland and Romania.”We expect in the near term, the certification will as popular among Polish warehouses, as they are now in the office or retail sectors,” she added.
