Erste Asset Management, the asset management company of BCR group, will be merging its two largest funds, BCR Monetar and BCR Obligatiuni into a single giant fund with assets of RON 3.1bn (€700m). Formally, it will be BCR Obligatiuni that absorbs BCR Monetar fund.
BCR Monetar is the largest mutual fund in Romania with 62,300 investors and assets of RON 1.67bn. BCR Obligatiuni has assets of RON 1.5 bn and more than 42,000 investors. The new BCR Obligatiuni Fund will manage assets of more than 100,000 investors.
