Wescast is extending its factory in Oroszlány by 4,000 sqm. The Canadian automobile supplier is a world leader in exhaust manifolds for passenger cars and light trucks. The investment cost is over HUF 1bn, of which HUF 500m is for the extension, while the rest of the money is appropriated for technological development. The project is being supported with HUF 192m in funding from the European Union. Wescast has 900 employees, while it’s revenues last year came to €73m. It supplies most European car manufacturers, including Audi, Daimler, Fiat, Ford and Renault. All of its European orders are carried out from the Hungarian factory.
