EBRD seeks investors for Polish private equity project

11 June 2012

The EBRD will seek to set up a private equity fund by collecting capital from the Polish market, according to its Polish boss Lucyna Stańczak. “In a lot of European countries, investors are active in this field having established their strong position,” said Stańczak. Poland’s biggest insurer PZU has already replied to the proposal though no details have been agreed yet. So far, PZU announced it will set up a company for future acquisitions that it expects will attract private equity investors.
