Dubai-based low cost airline flydubai will operate four direct weekly flights from Bucharest to Dubai starting October 1st, according to Mediafax.
Tickets start at €440, all taxes included, and can be bought online starting June 15. Passengers can travel to Dubai or continue on to the 45 other destinations the airline services in the Middle East and Asia. Its entry into the Romanian market is part of its wider CEE strategy which will see 15 new destinations in ten countries.
It says the number of tourists from Eastern and Central Europe to Dubai airport has gone up by 35 percent in the first four months of 2012.
