Constanta Mayor Radu Mazare inaugurated the Mamaia foot bridge. He said he intends to finalize two similar projects in Mamaia and added such leisure constructions should be made all throughout the seaside.
He said that he have two other projects that are more spectacular than the foot bridges. One will incur opening Siutghiol Lake into the sea and several boat rides will be available at the time and the other will incur building four little islands at sea on the Mamaia Constanta tour. They are going to be put together with EU funds, without money from the national budget.
The footbridge is 4 meters high and placed directly onto the Black Sea, starting off the beach near Victoria Hotel and covering 420 meters.
The investment value was about RON 5 m, RON 4 m coming from the Tourism Ministry and RON 580.000 from the Mayor’s Office.
