Białek takes seat in Orlen’s Supervisory Board

31 May 2012

The former chief of Poland’s Internal Security Agency (ABW) will have something new to watch over, after the shareholders of PKN Orlen offered him a seat on its supervisory board. The coming months are to be busy for Paweł Białek, as he already has a seat on the same board at KGHM, as well as in Poland’s Treasury. Interestingly, both Poland’s biggest copper producer KGHM and oil giant PKN Orlen are controlled by the state. With Białek on the board, there will be eight members on Orlen’s Supervisory Board, with Maciej Matańczyk being in charge along with its deputy Leszek Pawłowicz. Last year, all of the members of the Orlen supervisory board received PLN 143,000 in compensation.
