The European Union will be providing funds that can be used in order to improve the energy efficiency of older apartment buildings, following a modification of the Operational Regional Programm (ROP).
The money will be allocated for housing blocks built between 1950 and 1990, with a focus on those buildings inhabited by people in lower income groups, according to a B1 TV report.
Changing the fund’s structure is mandatory in order for such energy saving projects to be able to utilize European funds.
