The Hungarian Competition Authority allowed Bonduelle to take over Kelet-Food Ltd, a canning factory in East Hungary, which is currently in liquidation. The French company got the green light for the facility, which has a capacity of 30,000 tons of canned sweet corn and peas a year. The acquisition was preceded by two other takeovers by Bonduelle, one in Nagykőrös in 1992 and the other in Békéscsaba, 2002. The deal is set to be finished at the end of May.
