General Electric Hungarian plant delivers generators to Israel

GE Hungary’s factory in Veresegyháza is to deliver a dozen gas turbine generators to the Israeli company Dorad Energy. The $200m contract involves the transformation of jet engines built by GE in the United States into power generators, which is completed in Hungary. The generators will be used in Dorad Energy’s new power plant in Ashkelon, Israel. To be installed in Israel with the help of GE professionals, the generators will begin to operating in 2013. The new energy plant is planned to provide 8% of Israel’s electricity.
