Romania risks losing €100m this year and €1.1bn next year that’s been pledged to the Operational Program of Human Resource Development (POSDRU), due to severe inconsistencies observed for the 2010- 2011 period, said Prime Minister Victor Ponta.
He said the program could bring as much as €2bn in support, but that just 6 percent has been drawn down so far. There are about 2,500 projects that were approved and signed so far, but the results of a recent audit could result in the suspension of the program.
