US law giant, Greenberg Traurig has hit Polish market by taking over the local branch of Dewey & LeBoeuf law firm. The 7th largest US law firm sees this as the first step in its expansion in Central and Eastern Europe, taking Poland as a starting point. The acquisition was been closed just two days ago, and the company is already making a long-range plans to become a leader in securing most of the significant mergers and takeovers in the region. The first Polish office is to be 35th Greenberg Traurig currently operates. The decision to dissolve Dewey & LeBoeuf is expected to be taken within a week,” says Lejb Fogelman, Greenberg Traurig board member.
