Cetelem gross profit increases in 2011

Credit consumer Cetelem IFN, a leader on the Romanian credit market, reported a pre-tax profit of RON 9.8 m (€ 2.2 m), with a 24 percent increase in credit volume last year.

In the first quarter of 2012, credit volume went up with 15 percent over the same period of last year. In 2011 the company issued 53,000 credit cards.

According to Gilles Zeitoun, general director of Cetelem Romania, Cetelem aims an increase of 15-20 percent in credit volume this year. It’s part of the French group BNP Paribas Personal Finance.
