At the end of the first quarter of 2012, over 10 real estate companies were in arrears with the state, according to official sources. Apolodor Com Impex, a constructor that invests in real estate projects, which have in portfolio Octopus Gardens neighborhood, has debts of RON 14 m to state budget. Can Serv Ltd, which owns Primavera supermarkets and two residential projects in Bucharest, is alleged to have debts of RON 5.8m to the state budget.
Vitra Real Estate, which owns the Gran Residencia project in Otopeni, has debts of over RON 3.3m to state budget. Other companies include Unirea Shopping Center, Bucharest Financial Plazza and Cocor.
