A new plagiarism scandal has broken out, this time affecting ex-prime minister, Ferenc Gyurcsány. Following revelations that former president Pál Schmitt had copied large portions of his doctoral thesis, countless investigations started into the work of other politicians. The thesis of Ferenc Gyurcsány was not found, having somehow disappeared from the university, but journalists apparently did manage to find a review of the thesis. It turns out that Gyurcsány’s thesis bears a surprising resemblance to the thesis of Szabolcs Rozs, his ex-brother-in-law. Both of them studied at the same university and both theses are on the same topic. Gyurcsány claims the whole issue is merely a political campaign aimed at discrediting him.
