Office spaces rents in Bucharest rose a modest 3% in the first quarter of 2012, according to a recent market report by DTZ.
Currently, rents are between €18.5 to €19.5/sqm/month for offices in the center of Bucharest, while for semi-central areas, rents range from €13-€16 per sqm. Administrative space in the suburbs can be had for as little as €10 per sqm.
The biggest share of transactions (65 percent of net rentals) were signed in the Centre-North (Barbu Vacarescu – Floreasca – Charles de Gaulle – Piata Presei Libere). The outlook for leasing in 2012 according to DTZ is 100,000 sqm, which would represent an increase of 12 percent compared to 2011.
