Romanian Post launched an international money transfer service called Eurogiro Cont, following the conclusion of a partnership between Romanian Post and Deutsche Bank.
It will allow people from all countries to send a maximum of €5,000 to people in Romania.
The money (euro only) will be sent to a post office, while a 3.7% service charge will be due, payable in RON, plus RON 2.50. The payment should be available within four working days.
