Vanquis bank to hit Polish market

19 April 2012

British Vanquis bank is entering Poland, following approval last month by the country’s Financial Supervisory Authority (KNF). While the precise date of the bank’s entering has not been revealed yet, Provident Financial Group, which owns the bank, is already looking across Poland for employees with the English language skills. So far, Vanguis has been operating in Europe as a banking arm of Provident. The bank is targeting a niche market of people who are not related with any of the traditional financial institutions. The number of its customers expanded by 27 percent over 2011.
