Romanians not buying dream homes

19 April 2012

Most Romanians who intend to buy an apartment last year wanted two rooms with usable area of 55 square meters, but ended up buying just a 48 sqm unit, according to a survey of Commercial Bank Romana (BCR).
The difference arose mainly because of limited budgets allocated for buying an apartment. Last year, the biggest percentage of homes financed by BCR were purchased in Bucharest – 33.2 percent.
The survey of more than 300 leading property companies was conducted by BCR together with portals www.magazinuldecase.ro and www.imobiliare.ro.
