Ivo Lukačovič, the owner of the largest Czech internet search engine Seznam.cz plans to build a large data center in the Czech Republic. The project is to start in 2012 or 2013 at the latest, and Lukačovič hopes he will be able to tap the European Union for co-financing on the CZK 400m investment. This would mean, however, that the data center would have to be located outside Prague, Brno and the Central Bohemian region, writes the economic server E15.
