Import and distribution company of pharmaceutical products Farmexim, owned by the businessman Ovidiu Buluc, has recently bought a 3.5 hectare plot in the Balotesti neighborhood, north of the capital, where the company plans to build a logistics center.
The transaction amounted to €1.5 m plus VAT, which works out to about €43/sqm. Farmexim operates a logistics center in Pipera but it is hampered by access problems. Buluc says he intends to build a new facility of 15,000 sqm along with 6,000 sqm of office space at the new location at a cost of €10m – €12m.
Farmexim is one of the biggest pharmaceutical importers and distributors in Romania, with turnover of €228m in 2011.
