One of the protagonists of the Prague wiretapping corruption scandal, Prague 11 mayor Dalibor Mlejnský, has successfully defended his job against an attack by opposition members of the district council. Immediately after the vote, he announced that Prague 11 will start construction of a delayed swimming pool and sports area called Jedenáctka in Jižní město in a month. The project has been in planning for years but the current indications are that a consortium Hochtief CZ and Bau plus could start work soon. Prague 11’s council approved the results of the tender in which the two were chosen and contracts could be signed within two weeks. Construction of the project consisting of three buildings should start in April and is expected to cost the district CZK 427m, 27m more than the original estimates, writes the economic server e15.
