PSD leader Victor Ponta said that Romania is officially back in recession, following two consecutive trimesters of economic downturn. He said that the situation was being made worse by what he sees as a lack of consistency on the part of the government implementing a coherent economic strategy.
Ponta made his comments on April 1, but insisted that they were not intended as any kind of joke, but rather the plain, sad truth.
