The government has accepted the rural development strategy of Sándor Fazekas, Minister of Rural Development. Fazekas says the country’s agricultural sector is capable of produce more food than the Hungarians consume. This means, he says, that agriculture should be considered a strategic sector, adding that the government aims to create conditions that enables people to choose the locally produced, high quality, healthy (GMO-proof) Hungarian products.
