One in five local companies plan to begin recruiting within three months, according to a recent survey, while seven in ten companies say they will maintain the current number of employees. Nationwide, 68 percent of employers do not expect any changes in their employment policy, while 11 percent of them will be make redundancies and 20 percent expect to increase to make new hirings.
Most of the new jobs will be in the trade, manufacturing, finance, insurance, and real estate sectors, along with other openings in transport, communications, construction and public administration. The most optimistic hiring plans are reported by employers in Bucharest, Ilfov, Southern and in the northwest of Romania, while companies in the southeast and northeast of the country are the most downbeat.
