The opposition party LMP is pushing for a referendum on a wide array of topics, and is currently collecting the signatures necessary to call such an event. The group has four primary demands: that the school leaving age remain 18 years; that applications for job searches be granted after 260 days instead of the current 90; that probation periods be limited to 100 days, and that employees be able to take two-thirds of the holiday time allowances at any time. To force a referendum, LMP will have to collect 300,000 signatures by April 2. LMP has set up stands throughout Budapest and launched a Facebook page as well in order to gain support.
