MALÉRT, a civil organization, is planning to establish a new Hungarian airline, in order to replace the Malev airline, which went bankrupt in February. Malert was established after the demise of Malev. Mihály Vécsei, the president of the organization, has said that Hungary needs a new, modern, innovative airline. The new company would be Budapest-centered and he thinks that with the cooperation of different interest groups, a major, viable company could be created. Further details are expected later this week.
