HP Romania has been selected to supply IT solutions for the National Health Insurance House and will implement the organization’s ePrestription plan. The system of electronic prescriptions will monitor drug consumption in real time in Romania, eradicate medication errors and be used to help root out fraud. Representing an investment of €10.3m, the project should be finalized within 6 months. Earlier this year it was announced that a consortium formed of HP Romania and Novensys would provide the IT solution for the introduction of an electronic health insurance card in a contract worth more than €25m.
