This summer will see the realization of an eco-tourist project involving rowing on the Dambovita river in downtown Bucharest. Initiated by Ivan Patzaichin’s Mila 23 Association, the idea is to promote this low-impact form of tourism to open up protected areas of the country like the Danube Delta to Romanian and foreign tourists. Cleverly named “Rowmani”, the first pilot center, including a pier and boats for rent, will be opened next to the National Library and will be operational from May to October.
