The investment bank Lehman Brothers, that became a symbol and catalyst for the financial crisis, has emerged from its bankruptcy. That leaves it free to sell assets and start paying back its creditors as of April 17. The move is the final step in the bankruptcy proceeding that began in the middle of September 2008, and the beginning of the end the US financial giant.
