6 March 2012

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent a letter of condolence to Polish people after 16 were killed in a rail accident in the Polish city of Szczekociny over the weekend. The Belarussian Embassy reported that Alexander Lukashenko had sent his “words of sympathy and support for the Polish president and the train crash victims’ families.” The letter comes after Poland’s and Belarus’ recent diplomatic conflict, following the EU’s decision to increase sanctions against Lukashenko regime.
