Social Democrats accused of corruption

No fewer than 17 members of the Prague branch of the Social Democrat party have been accused by Czech anti-corruption police of taking bribes during votes at party meetings. Czech Television reported that two of them, Frantisek Kolinsky and Lukas Plachy, were believe to have been paying bribes to their party colleagues to join local party organizations, bring in new members and vote according to the orders they received. The accusations are the result of a two-year investigation.
