Apartments prices at lowest level in over three years

The average price of apartments in Romania in February reached their lowest point ever since the beginning of the crisis: €986 per sqm. That’s €13 less than in January 2012 and 4.6% below the level in February 2011, when they were €1,034 per square meter.
In Bucharest, apartment prices fell by 2% from the previous month, reaching an average of €1,148 per sqm, which is the lowest level recorded in Bucharest since 2008.
The fall in price hit both new and old apartments, though smaller studio flats fell by 3%, compared to the 2.2% decline suffered by four-room units. Two-room apartments continued to decline in February (-0.7%) while those with three-bedrooms were cheaper by 1.9%.
