Salad Story has announced ambitious plans to double its number of restaurants by 2028, aiming to open an average of one new location per month. The company envisions reaching 150 outlets in Poland alone.
Currently operating 52 restaurants, Salad Story has a strong presence in food courts, which have been a key part of its business. However, the company recognizes the growing potential of offices, shopping streets, and transport hubs, and plans to diversify its locations accordingly.
“We have been in the market for 17 years, which gives us a significant advantage with our accumulated experience,” said Anna Krajewska, co-founder and CEO of Salad Story. “Poland is one of the fastest-growing markets in the European Union in terms of food service spending, making it ideal for our expansion. Our highly scalable business model supports this growth. We are analyzing the market and considering various strategic options to achieve our goals.”
Krajewska also noted the potential for consolidation in the Polish market due to the presence of many independent entities. “We may join this trend, either independently or with partners. Our brand is highly recognized in Poland, and we are number one for healthy food. Additionally, the versatility of our brand gives it great export potential, which will likely be a component of our future growth.”
Salad Story is supported by Azimutus, an independent advisor in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) processes, in determining the optimal path for further development, including the potential acquisition of a partner. Azimutus operates on a European scale with offices in Warsaw, Geneva, Brussels, and Oxford.
The company’s accelerated growth strategy focuses on opening its own units, with franchising serving as a complementary approach. Established in 2007, Salad Story is now the largest fast food chain in Poland specializing in healthy food, with restaurants in prime locations across the country’s largest cities.
