Hillwood Polska has signed a loan agreement with mBank worth more than €28.4m for the construction of a warehouse in Dobrzykowice near Wrocław, the company said. The building will be part of the Hillwood Wrocław East project being developed with LCube. The project is already commercialised at around 38%.
“We are delighted to support our client in the realisation of its project in Lower Silesia. When selecting the projects that our bank intends to finance, we are guided by both a strictly credit assessment and the impact of these projects on the environment, their sustainability. The projects we have financed meet these criteria and the investment in Dobrzykowice is in line with our green strategy,” said head of structured finance at mBank Tomasz Niewola.
Hillwood & LCube Wrocław East is a warehouse centre located directly on the eastern bypass of Wrocław, just 15 km from the city centre. The project comprises almost 60,000 sqm of A-class warehouse space.
A day earlier, Hillwood announced that it will build two warehouse halls of almost 88,000 sqm in Grodzisk Mazowiecki. The first hall of more than 50,000 sqm is scheduled for completion in mid-February next year.
“Hillwood Grodzisk Mazowiecki is another major investment that strengthens our position in the Warsaw market. The region is of great interest to potential tenants, especially companies from the logistics and e-commerce sectors. The vacancy rate here has remained at a very low level for years, and gross demand, despite general trends, in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship increased by around 4% in 2023 compared to the record 2022,” said Hillwood Poland CEO Hubert Michalak.
