Dariusz Marzec has been appointed President of the Management Board of PGE

The Supervisory Board of the Polish Energy Group (PGE) appointed Dariusz Marc to the board of the 12th term and entrusted him with the position of President and Marcin Laskowski as Vice-President for Regulation (in both cases – from 18 March this year), the company announced. The term of office of the joint board is three years.

The Supervisory Board simultaneously adopted resolutions on the termination of the delegation of Erik Kosiński, a member of the Supervisory Board, to temporarily perform the duties of a member of the Management Board of PGE acting as President of PGE and on the termination of the delegation of Małgorzata Banasik, a member of the Supervisory Board, to temporarily perform the duties of a member of the PGE Management Board, was given.

The company announced that Dariusz Marzec was, among others, associated in 2013-2016 with PGE as Vice-President of the Management Board for Development. He was responsible, among others, for the preparation and supervision of the implementation of the Development Strategy of the PGE Group for 2014-2020 and the PGE Group Investment Programme. In addition, he was the Chairman of the Supervisory Boards of PGE Mining and Conventional Energy, PGE Energia Odnawialna and PGE EJ1, as well as a member of the management board of the Polish Electricity Committee.

Marcin Laskowski has been preparing and implementing projects in the area of RES as part of the Polish Biogas Group, which is currently part of the French concern Total Energies. In the Polish Biogas Group, he is the President of PGB Inwestycje, SPV and Vice-President of PGB Serwis. As Vice-President of the Polish Chamber of Commerce of Renewable and Dispersed Energy (PIGEOR) he conducts activities in the development of legal regulations aimed at the development of energy, including renewable energy, it was announced.

The PGE Group produces 41% of the net electricity production in Poland, and its share in the heat market is 18%. The Group estimates its share of energy from renewable sources at 10%. In the distribution area of approx. PGE handles 5.5 million km2. Its market share in terms of volume of electricity distributed is 25%, and sales to final customers – 33%. The company has been listed on the WSE since 2009; it is part of the WIG20 index.
