CTP has signed a long-term lease agreement for 5,590 sqm of multifunctional space at the CTPark Budapest Ecser logistics park with Vilnius-based FL Technics, a global provider of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services. The substantial logistics rental property also includes 270 sqm of office space and a servicing area of 190 sqm.
Founded in 2005, FL Technics is part of the Avia Solutions Group, an international provider of passenger and cargo airline services, managing more than 100 offices and facilities worldwide. As part of the Dublin-based group, FL Technics specialises in aircraft maintenance and repair services.
The long-term lease agreement was facilitated by CTPark Budapest Ecser’s versatility for a wide range of activities, as the space leased by FL Technics can not only perform warehousing and logistics functions, but also allows for production activities to be carried out. The ECS1 building is fully in line with FL Technics’ world-class technical and infrastructural solutions and the cutting-edge technology products used by the company.
A key factor in the successful transaction was CTP’s flexibility to meet tenant needs on a world-class, up-to-date basis. CTP has continued its activities with great momentum this year in line with its full-speed motto, with the strategic goal of reaching 2 million sqm of property in Hungary by 2026.
“We are very proud of our long-term rental agreement with FL Technics, which shows that we are on the right track when it comes to providing a full and comprehensive service to our customers. Not only are our logistics developments up to world-class standards, but our related services and multifunctional warehouses also help us to maintain our market leadership and increase our competitiveness. In FL Technics, we welcome another global player to Hungary at the CTPark Budapest Ecser logistics park,” said Dr. Ferenc Gondi, Managing Director of CTP Hungary.
“As an independent group, FL Technics provides aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul services worldwide with a steadfast focus on fostering long-term, sustainable partnerships. The project to expand the capacity of FL Technics’ Wheels & Brakes solutions in Hungary exemplifies this commitment to sustainability. With our newly established facility strategically positioned in close proximity to major aviation hubs, we are poised to elevate our services for regional airlines while minimizing CO2 emissions. In addition, we prioritize ESG principles across all facets of our business operations. This expansion not only underscores our dedication to sustainability but also promises job creation and the cultivation of valuable industry partnerships,” emphasized Zilvinas Lapinskas, CEO of FL Technics.
The expanding activities of FL Technics contribute greatly to the development of domestic aviation and to attracting new partnerships to Hungary and the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region in general. Hungary’s excellent geographical position and location will help the company to further expand and grow. FL Technics also provides Wizz Air, among others, with comprehensive solutions for the airline’s aircraft fleet operated in the UK.
FL Technics conducted an extensive evaluation of various Hungarian sites before concluding that CTPark Budapest Ecser is the optimal choice for the company. CTP’s logistics parks boast facilities that adhere to stringent technical standards, perfectly complementing the group’s commitment to flexible, customer-centric operations, and top-tier services.
CTPark Budapest Ecser is located east of Budapest in the immediate vicinity of the capital, Liszt Ferenc International Airport, at the junction of M0 and the M4 Highway, next to the village of Ecser. The region – due to its outstanding location – is considered a major national and international hub. The Budapest agglomeration is the most competitive area of the country and an important connection point, making it uniquely suitable for connecting Hungary to the European and global economy.
