BLG-Industrielogistik rents around 12,000 square metres of logistics space in Falkensee

To the west of Berlin, the integrated logistics real estate consultant Logivest has brokered an approximately 11,800 square metre logistics and production space for BLG-Industrielogistik GmbH & Co. KG with an approximately 11,800 square metre logistics and production space including offices for a long-term lease. The new logistics building developed by Hillwood comprises a total of around 55,000 square metres of usable space and is located at 142-148 Straße der Einheit in the fully developed commercial area of Falkensee.

BLG-Industrielogistik already has two sites not far from the new building and was looking for a suitable expansion area to expand its logistics services for industry. The proximity to the existing sites as well as the modern and sustainable facilities were convincing factors.

“The proximity to our other locations is certainly a decisive argument, but it also meets our requirements for sustainable, modern logistics properties,” explains Lars-Rainer Viet, Senior Expert Real Estate at BLG.

The property has been built in accordance with the DGNB Gold Standard and will be equipped with a roof-mounted PV system. It also has an innovative timber girder construction, LED lighting and is WGK3-capable. The building can be accessed via a ground-level gate or ramps.

“Due to its location, Falkensee is increasingly becoming the focus of logistics utilisation. The town not only borders directly on Berlin, but is also optimally connected thanks to the nearby A10 and A24 motorways – ideal for last-mile deliveries,” says Dennis Grube, Head of Industrial and Logistics Letting at Logivest in Berlin.

The new building has already been occupied.
