Sales of savings bonds amounted to m/m in December. PLN 4,422m, the Finance Ministry said. In November, retail bond sales amounted to PLN 3,605m.
Savings bonds worth a total of PLN 48.7 billion were sold in 2023. The sales result confirms the high level of interest in the retail offering of government bonds, the ministry reported.
“We closed 2023 with sales of PLN 48.7 billion. The high interest in government bonds is a direct result of their advantages. They are undoubtedly safe instruments, as the Treasury guarantees with all its assets the payment of the invested savings together with the due interest. […] Buyers of bonds invested amounts exceeding PLN 4 billion on average per month,” said Deputy Finance Minister Jurand Drop.
Bonds sold in December were:
3-month (OTS0324) – PLN 83.7m,
1-year (ROR1224) – PLN 735.2 million,
2-year (DOR1225) – PLN 164.4 million,
3-year (TOS1226) – PLN 1,395.3 million,
4-year (COI1227) – PLN 1,391.4 million,
10-year (EDO1233) – PLN 591.1 million.
Customers allocated an amount of PLN 61 million for the purchase of family bonds dedicated to beneficiaries of the Family 500+ programme (from January 2024 Family 800+). Family bonds are directed exclusively to people receiving benefits under the Family 800+ programme, it was reported.

1-year – PLN 10,829.0 million,
2-year – PLN 1,490.8 million,
3-year – PLN 8,936 million,
4-year – PLN 20,240.6 million,
10-year – PLN 5,750.6 million,
Family bonds – PLN 585.4 million”. – we read further.
