The Belgian real estate developer VGP, present with a network of five industrial parks on the Romanian market, takes EUR 150 million finance from the European Investment Bank (EIB), funds that will be used to install solar panels on the roofs of logistics centers in the EU, including in Romania.
The photovoltaic installations that will be installed under the program will generate up to 190 GWh of renewable electricity per year, enough to cover the consumption of 110,000 Europeans. The costs of installing photovoltaic solar systems on the roofs of logistics centers in Romania are estimated at EUR 13.5 million.
VGP is present in Romania with a network of five industrial parks, in Timișoara, Sibiu, Brașov, Arad and Bucharest, in various stages of development.
