Ostrava has a new coworking centre Clubco. The developer CTP has built it in the IQ Ostrava complex on “Náměstí Republiky“, where the company Tietoevry was previously located. The premises are suitable for small and medium-sized companies, as well as corporations or freelancers. Up to 130 people can work together in the modern 1 512 sqm office space with high-tech equipment.
By opening Clubco in the North Moravian metropolis, CTP is responding to the growing demand for a hybrid working environment that combines traditional offices with flexible types of rentals. In Clubco Ostrava, interested parties find offices that cater to different needs, including 26 offices of various sizes for one to twelve people, conference rooms and large event spaces for up to 70 people, as well as 625 sqm of terraces for relaxation and networking.
“The Clubco concept has proved very successful in Brno and Prague and now we are bringing it to Ostrava. In our shared offices, we offer both fixed places for those who want a stable desk and hot desk places operating on a first-come, first-served basis. This option is ideal for those who don’t like routine and like to choose whether to work at a desk or in a chair in the shared space. All services can be easily booked and managed via the app, so we can operate without cards and keys,” said Kateřina Camerino, Community Manager at CTP in the Czech Republic.
CTP registers demand for a flexible working environment not only among freelancers, but also among companies. “We provide solutions, for example, for well-established companies with a stable number of employees who also need to accommodate colleagues working on specific projects on a short-term basis. Similarly, our clients can be fast-growing companies that do not yet feel like renting their own long-term office space, but need a representative space for meetings with clients,” outlined Clubco’s target clientele Kateřina Camerino.
In addition to the space in the coworking centre, CTP also offers offices for rent in the IQ Ostrava building, starting from 150 sqm. The company is already in negotiations with several potential clients in the IT, utility services and healthcare sectors. “We have currently signed a contract with IT company ITIXO and we expect at least half of the total capacity of the building to be occupied within the next year. A fitness centre and restaurant are also operating on the ground floor,” said Petra Pivovarová, Park Manager at CTP in the Czech Republic.
Mayor Jan Dohnal welcomed the fact that the IQ Ostrava complex near the city centre will come to life with new tenants, when reflecting on Clubco’s opening. “I am pleased that the IQ Ostrava building will have a new meaningful purpose. Our city is dynamically developing, and it’s good that the supply of modern office spaces, including coworking spaces, is increasing. In the post-COVID era, this is an unequivocal trend that needs to be addressed,” said Jan Dohnal.
In addition to modern office spaces, designer furnishings, and two outdoor terraces with city views, Clubco residents will also benefit from a community of people working across various fields. They can meet at lectures, workshops, and other events that will be regularly organised at the coworking centre.
