Drug manufacturer Antibiotice Iași has signed a EUR 25 million loan agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB) to finance the construction of a new factory. The EIB loan represents a quarter of the total investment of EUR 95.4 million. The investment will create around 100 jobs in the research and production area over four years.
“This partnership with the European Investment Bank reinforces “The Future Together 2030″, our business plan, and at the same time strengthens the company’s ability to respond to the needs and demands of the European pharmaceutical market. We are investing in research, technology transfer and new manufacturing sites to add value to the pharmaceutical industry and strengthen the company’s economic and financial indicators by 2030,” said Ioan Nani, CEO of Antibiotice S.A.
