Bohumín in the Karviná Region will auction the last seven plots of land in the Petra Cingra locality, where a new development with family houses is being built. It will put the plots of land ranging from 865 to 1,490 square metres in the reclaimed area up for bidding on 23 October. Thirty-nine single-family homes will gradually be built in the town center, announced Jana Končítková, a spokeswoman for the town hall.
The vacant plots are near Osvoboditelů Street and the supermarket. Among them is the largest of all the plots offered so far. “We launched the bidding in advance last January so that the new owners would have enough time to process the necessary permits. In the first five stages of bidding, all 32 plots on offer found new owners. Only the last seven plots remain to be sold,” said Mayor Petr Vícha (ČSSD).
The city has had a new two-hectare park with children’s attractions, trails, a pond and 300 trees built next to the plots. “The project for the new neighbourhood also included footpaths, a cycle path and parking for 60 cars, which should be completed next month. The investment project required over CZK 60 million and was supported by the Ministry of Regional Development with CZK 3.1 million,” Končítková said. She reminded that there are also schools, kindergartens, bus stops and shops in the vicinity of the area.
The new owners of the land must build a family house on it within five years from the conclusion of the purchase contract. The first houses are already being built in the locality. “We have issued five building permits and at least five more houses are being designed. What is encouraging is that the first houses are starting to go up in the locality. The foundations of the future buildings are visible in three places and one bungalow has almost completed its rough construction,” said Jan Przeczek, head of the property department.
The auction of the last available plots will take place in the large meeting room of the main building of the municipal office. The starting price is the same as in previous waves, i.e. CZK 1,089 per square metre.
