PPL CZ, a leading provider of transport services in the Czech Republic, has opened a new depot in Mošnov in the Novojičín region. It has a sorting line with a length of 543 metres and can handle up to 15,000 parcels a day. Its location will enable it to connect PPL’s logistics network to Slovakia and Poland and offer up to 130 jobs, PPL announced.
“Thirty new employees from the surrounding area will find employment in the new depot with a total area of 19,000 square meters, and another 100 in related activities in transport and warehouses. More than 60 vans will take care of operations at the Mosnov depot,” the company said.
The depot is located near Ostrava. “The new depot is located close to important transport routes, which will enable easier and faster distribution of shipments to a wide area, ensure more efficient use of transport corridors, shorten transport routes and optimise international transport. Thanks to modern sorting technology, PPL will provide faster delivery and thus better cover the needs and demand for transport services in this area,” said Petr Horák, CEO of PPL CZ.
