Polish general contracting leader Atlas Ward Polska is proceeding with the construction of a sustainable warehouse and logistics facility. The over 78 thousand sqm hall will be built on behalf of ECE Work & Live. The investment, located near Kąty Wrocławskie, is seeking BREEAM certification at the Excellent level, under the Shell&Core system.
Atlas Ward Polska is embarking on a comprehensive development of another warehouse and logistics facility. The investment, which consists of a 79,400-square-meter development, is located on an approximately 15-hectare plot and will be managed by ECE Projektmanagement Polska sp. z o.o., a company of the ECE Group, a pioneer in the European commercial investment market founded in 1965. ECE currently manages 200 shopping centers with a total area of more than 7 million sqm. The Polish company of the ECE Group, which has been in existence since 1997, manages 9 centers, including Galeria Lodzka, Galeria Krakowska, Galeria Bałtycka, Silesia City Center and Avenida in Poznań. ECE Work & Live has logistics, residential, hotel and office projects under way.
The land on which the investment is planned was prepared by SATOIA S.A. – a company specializing in acquiring and transforming land for logistics and manufacturing parks. SATOIA S.A. has completed the road investment and network infrastructure to the adjacent plots and is further involved in the construction process.
ECE’s investment is part of the “Satoia Logistics Park” complex in Kąty Wrocławskie. The total area of the entire park is almost 80ha. We are pleased that a recognized foreign investor has chosen this location for its first international logistics project in Poland,” says Marcin Tadeusz Ochyra, CEO of SATOIA S.A.
This is another investment we are making for a leader in its industry. This means that conscious investors appreciate our experience and high level of specialization in the implementation of industrial and warehouse facilities,” says Mariusz Górecki, CEO and President of the Management Board of Atlas Ward Poland. We are all the more proud that our proposed project aspires to a BREEAM certificate at such a high level. This confirms the fact that Atlas Ward Polska is also a specialist in the construction of high-quality, sustainable and ecological buildings,” he adds.
The ECE investment is being built near the junction connecting the A4 and A8 highways, less than 100 km from the Polish-Czech border and 140 km to the Polish-German border. However, location is only one of its advantages. The project is also seeking BREEAM certification at the Excellent level, under the Shell&Core system. Its issuance will confirm that the facility will be both environmentally friendly and comfortable for future users. It will be partially powered by photovoltaics (about 60% of the roof area will be adapted for the installation of cells), and will feature bike sheds and chargers for electric cars. All in accordance with the expectations of ECE, on behalf of which Trebbi Polska will supervise the project.
Comprehensive execution of installations (including electrical and sanitary) and networks will be handled by Inplag, which belongs to the Atlas Ward Polska group. The facility is expected to be commissioned in the second quarter of 2024.
