The Austrian Kronospan Group, producers of chipboard and MDF in Europe, recently opened its first showroom in Romania. The new unit is located on Bucharest’s Unirii Boulevard and has a total area of 1,278 sqm.
“The decision to set up a showroom in Romania’s capital is a well thought-out move that takes advantage of several key factors. As a significant centre of culture, architecture and a pool of young talent, the city provides the perfect environment for inspiration and innovation,” the company said.
Kronospan owns a wood-based panel factory in Sebeș and another production facility in Brasov.
Last year, the Romanian subsidiary, with more than 650 employees, achieved business of nearly RON 2.5 billion, up slightly from RON 2.46 billion in 2021.
